Fimet Celebrates 30 Years in China

Shanghai, China – Shanghai Fimet Medical Instrument Co., Ltd., a leading supplier of dental equipment in China, recently marked its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1994, the company has expanded its reach and now plays a crucial role in the dental healthcare sector. As part of the publicly traded Shanghai Pharma Group, both Shanghai Fimet and its Finnish counterpart, Fimet Oy, contribute to the group’s annual revenue exceeding 35 billion euros. In a significant development, Shanghai Fimet inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art mass production facility in Shanghai’s Baoshan district at the end of 2023. The factory, equipped with cutting-edge technology, is designed to cater to the rapidly growing demand for high-quality dental equipment in China and the broader Asian market. This new facility is expected to further enhance the company’s reputation for superior quality and technological innovation. Shanghai Fimet's success has been built on its strong foundation of Finnish technology, efficient quality management systems, and a well-established after-sales support network. Over the years, the company has become a key supplier to China's public healthcare sector.
The company’s 30th anniversary celebrations took place during the prestigious DenTech China exhibition in Shanghai, where Fimet honored its top six distributors with awards.
These distributors include: Chengdu Huaguang Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., Chongqing Zhaoxu Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., Sinopharm Chimei Dental Medical Equipment (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Sinopharm Connor Dental Medical Equipment (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Shandong Jiuran Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., and Hebei Yuyan Medical Technology Co., Ltd.
The event saw several distinguished guests and partners in attendance, including representatives from Shanghai’s 9th People’s Hospital, which uses 49 Fimet dental units. Zhang Zhiyuan, an academician from the Chinese Stomatological Association, along with Shen Qi, Chairman of Shanghai Fimet, and Jukka Perttilä, CEO of Fimet Oy, were present to celebrate the company’s achievements.
As Shanghai Fimet enters its fourth decade, its commitment to excellence in dental healthcare remains strong, with plans to continue expanding its presence and impact in China and throughout Asia.
